What is BHIM UPI?

BHIM stands for Bharat Interface for Money is a mobile app is made to facilitate the electronic payments directly bank-to-bank through UPI. It is developed by National Payments Corporation of India.

The app allows the users to instantly receive and send money. The payment is transferred directly into one’s bank account to another’s bank account through the platform “immediate payment service (IMPS)”.

The platform can also receive or send payments by scanning a QR code with account no. and IFSC code or through MMID.

 

Which banks are supported with BHIM?

The app supports all the Indian Banks which uses the UPI platform. You can search it from the app as given below:

You can also use it to check your current balance in your bank account. BHIM app allows you to connect your all accounts.

 

How to use BHIM App?

Follow the instruction given below:

#First: Open the Google Play Store

#Second: Search BHIM App and download the app then install it

#Third: Select your language (you can choose English, Hindi etc.)

#Fourth: Enter your Mobile Number click to get OTP (Be sure your mobile number is connected with your bank account)

#Fifth: Enter the OTP and then it will register your mobile no.

#Sixth: Set your 4 digit app password

#Seventh: Add your bank account details

#Eighth: Set your UPI pin (UPI pin is security password which is used at the time of payment / don’t share your UPI pin)

#Ninth: You are ready to transact the payments.

 

What are the transactions fees and limits to use BHIM App?

There is no charge for transactions from rupee 1 to 1 lakh. The minimum transaction should not be less than rupee 1.

User can send money up to rupees 20000/- per transaction and rupees 40000/- per day.
